Seat Belts Installed

Tonight I worked on getting the seat belts installed rather than the seats. It seems I need some nuts for the screw bolts that attach the sliders to the seat itself and I don’t have those. Also the front seat floor bolts that did fit whatever captive nut is on the floor panels still don’t fit. I wondered if maybe someone used a metric captive nut on the replacement floor panels but after going to Sears I can confirm that not to be the case either. Really not sure what’s going on there.

Having said all that I figured I’d go ahead and put the seat belts in as they would probably be easier to install with no seats in the car. Took a little while and I had to use some spacers here and there but it seems to have worked fine. I got the Securion seat belts from VB for the car as I didn’t care for the look of the ones Moss had and these are the same as what is installed in my 77 and I like them.

Anyway, all seems to be OK so I return to Sears on Saturday for some nuts for the seat bolts and try and get the seats in and maybe just secure them at the back bolts until I figure out what the heck is going on with the captive nuts on the front bolt mounts.

I’ve built this website and spent time on the knowledge base to bring together a lot of information I have collected from around the internet. The intent is making it easy to find rather than having to know about and have skills with search engine query terms to get what you were looking for. Please make use of the knowledge base.
