Today, 10th June, 2023 was the MG & Triumph 100 event at the Silverstone circuit. This event would otherwise be known as MG Live. This year is a joint event with both MG and Triumph celebrating 100 years of history. The MG brand/marque still exists for cars, not so for Triumph.
As I didn’t have an MG or Triumph car I needed to park with the “commoners” :-). This could have been a lot easier with some guidance/direction. After finding my way in the middle of the MG parking I asked for help. I was directed all the way back to the entrance. There wasn’t any signage or the the ticket checkers could have said “turn right just here”. Hey ho, we got there in the end.
MG Timeline of Cars
Similar to the event at Gaydon, there was to be a timeline of cars covering all 100 years of MG. I somewhat stumbled across this as I was trying to get my bearings. I have only been to Silverstone once before for MG Live in 2018. As such the time line photos I took started with the newest MG, an MG4 EV. This went back to the tribute car, the Raworth bodied Supersports recreation to honor the first 6 Kimber specials, none of which have survived. Despite this, the pictures are not in reverse order. Why, because technology is cool when it works! There were a number of gaps in the timeline as cars were still arriving. Please click on any image to see a larger version and you can then also scroll through the larger images.

Because there were some gaps in the timeline, I did return later a do a walk along video. You can see that here.
Timeline Cars in the Arena
There were a selection of the timeline MG cars in the main arena. As I got there a bit late I missed most of the discussion of the cars but I did manage to get them exiting the arena.
MG Cyberster
This event had a new MG Cyberster that was not covered in a QR code wrap as it was at Gaydon for the kick off MG 100 event. While this was a model, the exterior and interior was as will be seen in the UK in summer 2024 when the car goes on sale.
It could be an optical illusion but I honestly believe this model of the car launching in summer 2024 is a little bit smaller than the one I saw at the Gaydon event 2 weeks previously. When talking with the support team 2 weeks ago they didn’t know if it was a dual or single motor version. So, my personal speculation is that the Gaydon vehicle was a dual motor version whereas the model at Silverstone is a single motor version. Pure guess/conjecture on my part.
This time there was no restriction on pictures and I managed to patiently wait and get most of mine without other people in them. I did go pretty early in the day, it was quite busy later when I passed by again.
A Video Walk Around

Racing
There is an extensive racing schedule at the event and the paddock and garages are open. As such, I took a wonder around.

Other Pictures and Videos
These are some other pictures and videos of cars/models that I was interested in.
