The Problem #
If only there were color wiring diagrams. It seems that the workshop manuals and other wiring diagrams all in black and white. They can, of course, be used. But they make what is likely at least a frustrating job even harder. If only their were MGB color wiring diagrams.
The Solution #
Well the brilliant people at Advance Auto Wire have solved this. They have them for the MGB (and also for Triumph TR2 -TR3B and TR250-TR6). You will find a PDF file on this page of their website. This can be downloaded and contains full color wiring diagrams. Each diagram is a separate page in the PDF and you’ll need to find the right one for your car. Use the details in the bottom right hand corner of each diagram. See the example cutout below.
Please note the folks at Advance Auto Wire have a lot of solutions available. So please do check their home page for info and details of what they can offer you.
Keeping in Your Car A Color Wiring Diagram #
I have found it ideal to get the one for my car printed full size, 11″ by 17″, and also laminate it. It now lives in the boot of my 77 MGB Roadster and can make troubleshooting much easier. It won’t make gremlins from Lord Lucas disappear! But having this makes it easier to figure them out. I have found this a life saver on multiple occasions when troubleshooting random things that go wrong.
Don’t forget to check the electric section of the knowledge base for additional information. Or start a new search on the knowledge base main page. We are adding new information regularly. Hoping to make it easier to locate information that is scattered all over the internet.
I’ve built this website and spent time on the knowledge base to bring together a lot of information I have collected from around the internet. The intent is making it easy to find rather than having to know about and have skills with search engine query terms to get what you were looking for. Please make use of the knowledge base.
